According to Greek legends, Dionysus, the god of fertility, winemaking, wine and enjoyment, gave the grape vines to the people and taught them how to make this drink that stimulates creative energy, love, friendship, fun, and frolic. A toast of undiluted wine was drank to honour the gods.
Hippocrates thought that the wine guaranteed good health. A drink known as Hippocrates wine was prepared with the addition of wormwood and burning bush. The Romans adapted this drink from the Greeks by adding leaves of thyme and rosemary. Hippocrates wine was most probably the starting point for vermouth (Ger. Wermut – wormwood), known today as a bittersweet dessert drink with wormwood flavour.

Antička vina mogu se proizvoditi jedino na prirodan način. Vina proizvedena na taj način sadrže velik broj prirodnih antioksidansa i fitoestrogena. Vino je uvijek čuvar dobroga raspoloženja. I na kraju: In vino veritas.
