Miss Croatia is an organisation in Croatia dating back to 1992 and a member of the Miss World family, a global organisation established by Eric and Julia Morley, with headquarters in London. Miss World is the oldest running international beauty pageant and has been held annually since 1951. The highest placement for Croatia in the pageant came from Anica Kovač, then Martinović, the First Runner-up in the Miss World competition, while Fani Čapalija and Branka Bebić both won the title of Queen of Europe.
Miss World is an organisation that focuses on humanitarian efforts and was publicly supported by Dalai Lama and Nelson Mandela, whose grandchildren were made Miss World honorary partners. One of the mentors in the competition is Chief Mandela, head of the Royal House of Mandela and Mvezo Traditional Council, as well as a full member of the Miss World Organisation since 2008.
