Veli Lošinj

This picturesque small town (863 inhabitants) with famous maritime and tourist tradition is located on the slope of a hill that protects the small port from the storm at the bottom of a narrow bay dominated by the large parish church of St. Anthony the Abbot.

There is something particularly lovely and soothing about the view of the brightly painted façades of tall houses reflected in the calm sea of the harbour full of local boats, or about walking through the streets of Veli Lošinj lined with beautiful houses surrounded by even more beautiful gardens and parks, the largest and most famous of which is the one next to the former summer house of Archduke Charles Stephen, today the Health Resort.
