Homemade lavender preparation “Butijica od lavande”

A preparation that can be found in every household in the Cres and Lošinj area. The bottled liquid consists of cold pressed olive oil and lavender flowers from Cres. The preparation is made by placing lavender flowers in a dark glass bottle and covering them with cold pressed olive oil. After 40 days of storage in a dark place, it is strained and ready to use. It can be used for whole-body or foot massages, as protection against mosquito bites, for reducing the feeling of tightness on the skin after a day in the sun, and for bathing.

Another preparation that can be found in every household in the Cres and Lošinj area. The bottled liquid consists of cold pressed olive oil and immortelle flowers from Cres. The preparation is made by placing immortelle flowers in a dark glass bottle and covering them with cold pressed olive oil. After 40 days of storage in a dark place, it is strained and ready to use. It is used for massage, relaxation, and skin and body care.
