An island of vitality, natural riches, and the aromatic scents of pines and the sea – Lošinj – is gaining a new culinary experience this June. In the charming fishing village of Nerezine, under the canopy of trees and the stars, a culinary evening will unfold, bringing together two stories: that of an intriguing Italian chef and a young Croatian chef.
CHEF DAVIDE CIAMPI – FIRST TIME IN CROATIA
For the first time in his career, one of the most exciting young Italian chefs – Davide Ciampi – will cook in Croatia. And not just anywhere – but at Bonaparte’s Tavern, a charming restaurant that opened its doors only last year under the leadership of Chef Nikola Šoić.
Chef Ciampi is a culinary nomad – educated in San Sebastián at the prestigious Basque Culinary Center, he is a traveler and creator who blends the flavors of Italy, Northern Europe, and the Mediterranean.
He has worked at some of the world’s most renowned restaurants, including the legendary Noma in Copenhagen, often ranked among the world’s best and boasting three Michelin stars; Dinner by Heston Blumenthal in London; Bianc in Hamburg; and Gaa in Bangkok – all Michelin-starred establishments.
Today, Ciampi works as a private chef and culinary educator – hosting dinners, workshops, and performances across Europe – from Italy and Denmark to Iceland and Spain. And now – he is coming to Lošinj, in the heart of the Adriatic, to create an unforgettable dinner.
🍽 A UNIQUE 5-COURSE MENU – A FUSION OF ITALY AND CROATIA
Together with the evening’s host, Chef Nikola Šoić – who has quickly established Bonaparte’s as a must-visit spot on Lošinj’s culinary scene – Ciampi will design an innovative five-course menu.
This menu will represent an artistic fusion of Italian elegance and Croatian authenticity, featuring local ingredients and Mediterranean inspirations – all crafted by two outstanding young chefs.
🍷 WINE PAIRING – Nesputana Vina FROM ZAGREB
The unique menu will be perfectly complemented by a wine pairing curated by Nesputana Vina, Croatia’s leading promoter and distributor of natural wines, presenting a superb selection of authentic and character-driven wines from across Europe.
For this special evening, each course will be paired with its own natural wine counterpart, carefully selected in collaboration with the chefs, for a complete sensory experience.
🎶 LIVE MUSIC: TRIO SALVIA
And as if that weren’t enough – this special evening will be elevated by a live performance from Trio Salvia, adding an elegant, intimate, and top-quality soundscape. As guitar melodies fill the air, guests will enjoy a unique blend of gastronomy, wine, and music – all on the most floral terrace in Nerezine.
