Dinner with a Fisherman is an event organized for the fourth year in a row by the Association of Professional Fishermen "Ježinac" from Mali Lošinj, with the support of FLAG Vela Vrata. FLAG provides both administrative and moral support in the realization of the association's projects and ideas. The entertainment part of the program is designed by our local fishermen who are members of the association, while the educational segments are the responsibility of FLAG.
This event was born out of the desire of local fishermen to give back to their community for the support they receive, and at the same time to bring the fishing way of life, its traditions, and practices closer to others in the community—as well as to tourists and visitors.
This year’s entertainment program will take place in Sv. Martin Bay on Friday, June 13, starting at 6 PM with the preparation of dishes—naturally, fish-based.
FLAG Vela Vrata will host demonstration workshops on cleaning fish/seafood and mending nets, adapted for all visitors. At 6 PM, there will also be a storytelling session called “Fish Tales”, intended for children aged 4 to 10.
The true Dinner with a Fisherman begins at 9 PM, during which visitors will be served delicious fish dishes and wine—free of charge.
From 9 PM, DJ Fredi will take over and keep us dancing for as long as we can keep going!
