Her Majesty the Empress of Austria and the Croatian-Hungarian Queen Elisabeth of Bavaria – Sissy visited Veli Lošinj.
Her Majesty the Empress of Austria and the Croatian-Hungarian Queen Elisabeth of Bavaria – Sissy (1837–1898) visited the General Institute for Public Charity (Istituto generale di pubblica beneficenza) in Veli Lošinj on 10th March 1881 accompanied by her youngest daughter Archduchess Marie Valerie and her husband Franz Salvator, and Archduke Karl Stephan with his wife Maria Theresia.
