The Lošinj Museum invites you to a concert presentation of the new studio album by Henry Radanović, a renowned Croatian double bassist, composer, and award-winning instrumentalist. The album Quiet Rising Star features nine tracks that combine Radanović’s distinctive compositional voice with several jazz standards presented in a fresh and original way.
The album is recorded with the Henry Radanović Quartet, with whom he has been performing for many years. This project blends original expression, contemporary jazz sound, and top-level ensemble interpretation.
The interaction of diverse musical backgrounds within the quartet results in authentic interplay and a rich palette of textures. Alongside Radanović’s recognizable tone and subtle, precise leadership on double bass, the sound is shaped by Zvonimir Radišić on guitar, Branko Sterpin on trumpet and flugelhorn, and Tonči Grabušić on drums.
In addition to original compositions, the quartet will perform several jazz standards arranged through the lens of contemporary jazz, offering insight into fresh interpretative directions within traditional forms.
